Safety Barriers

Help prevent a forklift from falling off the edge of an open loading dock by installing a safety barrier. When a door is open at a loading dock without a truck present, some type of barrier should be in place to prevent a forklift from possibly falling off the edge. Poweramp offers an option to have a barrier installed on the leveler’s lip or as a bar that is lowered in front of the dock door opening.

Barrier Lip Leveler

Loading Dock Communication System

Poweramp’s Barrier Lip prevents forklift trucks from driving over the dock edge while protecting the overhead door from damage. The Barrier Lip is usable anytime the leveler is in the cross traffic position and offers a smooth transition between the platform and lip.

Poweramp’s® Bar-Lift Barrier prevents lift trucks from driving over the dock edge. The hydraulic operation provides years of trouble-free service for use with both mechanical and hydraulic dock levelers. he Bar-Lift Barrier can also be installed on docks without levelers.

Dock Communication System

A light communication package from Poweramp will enhance safety at any loading dock by notifying the truck driver and dock personnel when conditions are safe to proceed. Powered Vehicle Restraints are installed with an interior-exterior red/green light communication. Facilities without vehicle restraints can still add Poweramp Dock Communication System to achieve this communication. Add Edge Lights for further clarity to dock personnel of safe conditions.
